September Subjects.

Open

Set: The Written or printed word. An exercise of your imagination

September is the closing date for the Geelong interclub. 

October Subjects

 Open:   Photo which has strong pictorial appeal, i.e. good composition and lighting.

Set:  A Number       Take a photo of an object/s representing the form of a single number

(ie 2 – 9) this is an exercise in imagination, physical arrangements are permitted

 

Welcome To The Ballarat Camera Club Website

A club which strives to encourage and promote photography in and around Ballarat. We hope that you have an interesting and informative time with us.

The basic aim of the club is to provide opportunities for all members to learn about and improve their photography, regardless of their level of competence. 
Our syllabus is varied, providing competitions, demonstrations, lectures, and practical activities including excursions and camps. This year's events have included a weekend camp at Lake Fyans, excursions to Blackwood,Serendip,The Old Ballarat Cemetery and Harvey's Studio. We have had a demonstration of printing and mounting to competition requirements, use of Photoshop and related software.

Membership of the club entitles you to:-

  • Participate in monthly competitions.
  • Attend the digital group.
  • Borrow from the library.
  • Compete for our Annual Awards.
  • Obtain discounts from participating photographic related shops.
  • The Club's monthly newsletter, Flare, either by email or printed.
  • VAPS Newsbrief – by email or hard copy.
  • Participate in Interclub competitions with Geelong, Ballarat YMCA Camera Group and VAPS
