Carol's interests as well as being a long standing member of the Ballarat Camera Club include membership of the Ballarat Field Naturalists Club and she is currently President of the Victorian Nature Photography Group.
A former Geography teacher, Carol has retained a particular interest in the cooler parts of the world which have been, or still are, glaciated. She has visited Antarctica, Alaska, Greenland, Europe, Iceland, the Pacific Northwest of the USA and New England, Spitsbergen and mainland Norway as well as re-visiting the UK, her country of birth.
Here is a selection of images from her latest visit to Norway and Iceland, this time in the winter of 2016.
She regularly walks around Lake Wendouree and was lucky to spot a Rakali along the water's edge. These native mammals can be seen feeding in the early morning.
They are carnivorous, eating a variety of aquatic creatures.
